Returning to Midland, TX in 2006, Dr. Stanaland worked as a dentist and dental director at the Family Health Dental Clinic in Odessa for over eleven years where he treated patients in a community dental setting. Dr. Stanaland has also worked as an associate dentist in Odessa.

In 2018, and after practicing dentistry for 12 years, Dr. Stanaland transitioned into Dr. Larry Rusk's practice when Dr. Rusk retired.

Dr. Stanaland has certifications in oral and nitrous oxide minimal sedation.

According to Dr. Stanaland, the greatest rewards of being a dentist are having the ability to help people when they are in pain. He loves working with patients to help them achieve their dental goals, whatever they may be.
